New For 2013
Haven’t joined us at Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) in awhile? Or, maybe you enjoyed last year’s conference in San Diego and are wondering what this year’s edition has in store. We work hard to produce an event that will meet your needs as a brewing industry professional, so we actively seek input and then put it into practice at CBC. Here are some highlights to look forward to in Washington, D.C.
The Doctor Is In
Remember how Lucy would set up a booth to help out her fellow “Peanuts” characters in the famous Charles Schultz comic strip? Imagine that concept adapted to the brewing industry—nine one-hour sessions hosted by different experts on Thursday and Friday. Come and go as you like, ask questions of the experts, and don’t worry, we promise there won’t be any of Lucy’s bossy attitude to contend with!
While it isn’t exactly new this year, you won’t recognize the 2013 BrewExpo America, as it’s grown to 400 exhibitors and expanded exhibit hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Best of all, we’ll still have four hospitality suites and a whopping 19 beer stations to keep you fueled for the longer hours.
Record Hill Climb
There are many reasons why CBC is in Washington this year, but right near the top of the list is to the opportunity for brewers from around the country to visit the halls of power and advocate on behalf of the industry. The Brewers Association is organizing a Hill Climb to facilitate a lobby day, and it will be the biggest yet for our organization with over 230 participants from 215 breweries representing 46 states.
