Kjetil Jikiun
Kjetil Jikiun of Grimstad, Norway was first exposed to craft beer through his travels as an intercontinental airline pilot. Inspired to home-brew beer styles unavailable in his home country, he then went on to become founder and head brewer of Nøgne Ø, the first real craft brewery in Norway. Through the years a similar exposure to sake on his frequent flights to Japan has prompted him to start the first and only sake brewing operation in Europe. His efforts are considered instrumental in the changing of the Norwegian beer culture. Kjetil has since left the flight deck for good and is now 100% dedicated to brewing, both beer and sake.
