Briess Malt & Brew Workshop
Experience firsthand the art of crafting and brewing with specialty malts on April 6, 2010, at Briess Malt & Ingredients Co. in Chilton, Wisconsin. Presented in conjunction with the 2010 Craft Brewers Conference, the Briess Malt & Brew Workshop features a tour of the unique Briess malting operation and 500-bbl brewery/extract plant.
Workshops will be presented on the art of malting and handcrafting specialty malts, characteristics and applications of specialty malts, sensory, and the Briess sustainability program. Preregistration is required and is limited to 50 participants currently working in a licensed commercial brewery. Cost is $50 with bus transportation or $25 without bus transportation. Meals and beer included.

CBC Late Night at Rock Bottom Brewery
The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, in conjunction with the Country Malt Group, is proud to offer a late night gathering spot for this year's CBC attendees at the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Chicago, just a few blocks from the Sheraton. Wear your conference badge for admission to our second floor banquet space, from 9:30 pm to 1:30 am Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, and enjoy over 80 beers from Illinois and beyond. Featured will be 7 brews made with hops from the German Hop Growers Association and Malt from Best Malz, a visit from the German Hop Queen and real Chicago-style dogs.
