World Beer Cup Judge Orientation

Judges will receive packet with judging assignments, maps of judging area &  neighborhood, medal awarding criteria, beer style guidelines, judge comment forms and judge badge.

A useful flavor identification and calibration session will be conducted by conducted by Dr. Gary Spedding of Brewing & Distilling Analytical Services.

You must be a craft beer wholesaler to attend the Craft Beer Wholesalers Conference. Proof of wholesalers license must be submitted. Special exemptions are to be determined.

Micro Matic Draft Dispense Institute Course

Learn the basics and necessities for correct beer dispensing. Taught by Scott Zuhse of Micro Matic, this informative seminar will take you from the basics of equipment used through system design and installation. This program will also cover how to maintain the beer dispensing system after the installation.

About the instructor:

Scott Zuhse joined Micro Matic in 2002 after career of 18 years at the Coors Brewing Company where he held numerous positions within the Sales and Organizational Development departments. During this time, Scott worked 10 years in the Coors National Draught Sales and Service department where his most recent assignment as Training/Research and Development Specialist included conducting the basic and advanced draught training certification workshops.

Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and his “passion” for draught beer quality into the classroom. He has worked extensively assisting in continuous improvement with retailers, beer distributors and the leading manufacturers of beer dispensing equipment.

In his keynote address, Hindy is anticipated to discuss his passion for beer during dangerous times as a foreign correspondent and why he chose to start a brewery in Brooklyn, especially at a time when there was no real roadmap for brewing entrepreneurs. He’ll also relate lessons learned along the way, the decision to expand in Brooklyn, as well as the importance of strong relationships with local, state and federal legislators.
