For a lot of small craft brewers, it’s tough to find time to get away from the brew house for one day—let alone half a week. Even still, thousands of brewers are prepping to head to Washington, D.C., from April 10-13 for the 34th annual Craft Brewers Conference (CBC).
Jon Howland of 12Degree Brewing, a seven-barrel brewpub in Louisville, Colorado, is one of those brewers who makes the trek to the CBC every year.
“It’s really energizing and cool to just be out among thousands of other brewers from all over the country and to hear their stories,” said Howland. “That energy and camaraderie and enthusiasm reminds me of why I got into the brewing industry in the first place.”
