Things to See, Do, and Drink in Philadelphia

Philadelphia is the vibrant backdrop for the 2026 Craft Brewers Conference® (CBC®) and BrewExpo America®. While this year’s schedule is jam packed with three days of education, networking, and sensory experiences, your trip to Philly shouldn’t be all work and no play! Check out these sights, sips, and snacks in the city of brotherly love.

Local Beer

With 100 breweries across the metro area, Philadelphia’s craft beer scene features a mix of established mainstays and new favorites. Visit Victory Brewing, Triple Bottom Brewing, and Love City Brewing for a mini brewery crawl close to the convention center.

When time allows for adventures beyond the conference hubbub, check out Two Locals, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Bar Hygge, A Man Full of Trouble Tavern, or Urban Village Brewing Company, all of which are a short jaunt from the convention center. Read our full breakdown of the Philly beer scene here.

Top Notch Restaurants & Bars

Nestled in Philadelphia’s Chinatown neighborhood, the convention center is surrounded by a variety of highly-rated restaurants that specialize in Asian cuisine. The famous Reading Terminal Market is right next door, boasting a diverse lineup of food plus housewares, gifts, and specialty items.

You’ll also find Italian and American fare nearby (don’t forget to grab a cheesesteak!). Explore the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau’s guide for recommendations based on price, group size, and location.

Historic Landmarks

Philadelphia is at the heart of American revolutionary history. Take a free, 23-stop walking tour of the city’s historic district, starting at the Independence Visitor Center about a mile east of the convention center. See the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution), the Benjamin Franklin Museum, and the nation’s oldest continually inhabited street, among other highlights.

If film history is your thing, make sure to stop by the iconic “Rocky Steps” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, featured in the 1976 film Rocky. Snap a selfie with the Rocky statue and prepare yourself for an iconic 72-step trek!
