New in 2017, the Brewers Association will host a daylong Safety Bootcamp exclusively for BA voting brewery members. Capacity limited to 40 participants, so register early! Hands on brewery safety training for brewers and brewery owners. Relevant material directly related to brewery operations delivered by safety professionals. Lunch provided.
The course will offer hands-on brewery safety training for brewers and brewery owners on the following topics (developed from standard OSHA-approved training modified for brewery application):
Safety Bootcamp topics will include:
- Hazard communication
- Lock out/tag out/check out
- Personal protective equipment
- Bloodborne pathogens
- Confined spaces
- Emergency action plan
- Hazardous materials/storage
- Fire safety and exit evacuation
- Electrical safety
- Material handling
- Lab standards
- Machine guarding
- Walking and working surfaces
Training will be part of each topic, with focus on topic hazard recognition and avoidance. Note: Agenda is not final and is subject to change.
